Lauren is a fully qualified Play Therapist providing individual and group therapy privately and within schools. Lauren has a great deal of practical experience with children from working as a teacher and with youth groups before training as s therapist. A background in developmental psychology from her degree and research at the Institute of Education also give Lauren a theoretical understanding of the neuroscience behind the power of play.

 

Lauren is passionate about equipping children with resilience, confidence and self-awareness to cope with the challenges they face. Through sandplay, artwork, role play, music, puppets and therapeutic stories to name a few, children play out their feelings and issues within a strong therapeutic relationship built on acceptance and a belief in their potential.

 

Lauren also provides creative clinical supervision to trainees and qualified therapists with PTUK.
